The Motel remains open for guests every year from 15th May till 31st October. It remains closed for the remaining months of the year due to snow/road conditions/low season. There is a daily Tourist Coach Service leaving from Flashman’s Hotel, The Mall, Rawalpindi at 09:00 hours to PTDC Motel Naran. The journey takes around 8 hours with a lunch break at PTDC Motel Balakot.
